Directions to Maria College

Minutes from the heart of the Capital District, Maria College is located just down the street from both St. Peter’s Hospital and Albany Medical Center, and is a short trip from the commercial and political center of New York State.

Via Northway: Exit 1E to I-90 East, then follow local directions below.

Via Thruway: From either North or South, Exit 24 to I-90 East, then follow local directions below.

Via I-787: I-90 West, then follow local directions below.

Local directions: From I-90 (either east or west), take Exit 4, merging onto Route 85S toward Slingerlands/Voorheesville. Then, take exit for Krumkill Road.  Left off ramp onto Buckingham Drive, to first right on Bender Lane, to left onto Krumkill Road. Left at light onto New Scotland Avenue.  Maria College is on your right.

Parking for Visitors

Visitor parking is available in the lot right off New Scotland Avenue, as well as in the adjacent lot behind the Main Building, as well as Bethany Reformed Church in case of parking lot overflow.

Parking Regulations

The driveway along the Administration Building is restricted to deliveries and Campus School traffic. All others must enter and exit through the parking lot. All motor vehicles parked on campus must be registered. A permit for these registered vehicles is available in the bookstore for a fee of $30.00 + tax per academic year.

Parking permits are issued on the vehicle not the driver, so individuals should obtain a permit for each vehicle they drive. Parking decals must be permanently affixed to bottom of rear drivers side window on the OUTSIDE of window. Tickets will be issued to those vehicles with permits in places other than these locations.

The permit allows parking in the following areas:
AREA 1 – Parking lot between the Main Building and Marian Hall
AREA 2 - Parking lot behind the Main Building
AREA 3 - Bethany Reformed Church parking lot

Please note: A parking permit does not guarantee the driver a parking space, but permits the driver to park in a legally designated parking space. The speed limit on campus is 5 mph.

No-Parking Areas

No parking is permitted in the following areas. Parking in these spaces will result in a fine of between $5 and $25 per violation:

• Handicapped space ($25 fine)
• Maria College driveway
• Marian Hall circle
• Reserved space
• Visitor space

Fines for Cars without Permit

A car parked on campus without a permit will be looked up through an outside agency. The owner will be charged $4 in addition to the fine for each ticket. All fines will be turned over to the Business Office for collection, and transcripts will be held until fines are paid.
