People say that, and it’s true: college can be a great time in a person’s life. But, there are also times when adjusting to college life can be complex and difficult and easier said than done.

Whether you’ve come to Maria from high school or after having been out of school for a while, the idea of making the transition to college life can be daunting. We are at your service! We want to help you find ways to connect with our community, have success academically and rationally, and make the most of your time with us.

You know the Maria College mission already; chances are it’s part of the reason you’ve chosen Maria for this next step in your education. Our students experience the different of an education that is not only about acquiring knowledge but about giving of oneself. Making Maria your own.

Part of making Maria College “your place” is the formation of relationships. From working hand-in-hand with your academic advisor to building your association with faculty members, from talking with Campus Ministry to making new friends, Maria has the kind of small and nurturing environment where strong bonds are formed. We believe in respect for the dignity of each person, and that goes for your time on campus as well. Whatever you need, whatever it takes, we want to lend a hand and make it easier for you.

Ask for help if you need it.

Asking for help may seem weak. Actually, it takes a strong person when they’re in need of support. it ma be our Counseling Center that can meet your needs, or some extra help from a teacher, or just some time to talk to a friend. We desire that our campus be a place of comfort and reassurance. Just ask!
