Ties to the Community.

At Maria, serving the community is not just a value that we strive to pass on to our students. It’s something we’re actively involved in every day. Our commitment to service is evidenced every time an occupational therapy assistant student interns at a local rehabilitation center, or a nursing student graduates and works at a nearby hospital or nursing home. Our students support local non-profits and are engaged in volunteer activities throughout the Capital Region. The Maria values of caring and compassionate service don’t just stay on our campus. We’re not just teaching it. We’re living it!

From time to time our faculty, adjunct faculty and staff have made themselves available to talk and present on various programs, careers and other related topics from academics to financial aid. We have participated in round tables, specific high school and career education classes and professional speaker series.
