The Center for Academic Innovation (CAI) is equipped with a wide range of cutting-edge XR technologies to enhance student learning. This includes 20 high-performance computer stations, each powered by a Ryzen 9 Pro 5945 CPU and Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, ensuring a smooth and powerful experience for advanced simulations and applications.
Advanced Virtual Reality Tools
CAI also houses over 30 virtual reality (VR) headsets, including the Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro, HP Reverb G2, and Pico 4, allowing students to engage with a variety of immersive learning experiences. These VR systems support specialized applications across nursing, anatomy & physiology, and related subjects, enabling students to practice skills and scenarios in a fully interactive, 3D environment.
Innovative Technologies and AI Integration on the Go!
In addition to VR, CAI offers mobile VR labs for demonstrations and instruction, as well as access to advanced technologies like photogrammetry, 3D printing, and drone technology. The center also explores innovative uses of generative AI, including digital tutors powered by ChatGPT, to further enhance learning and support student success.
