Maria’s first donor recognition reception was held Thursday, June 2 in the Fitzgerald Courtyard. More than fifty donors representing faculty, staff, trustees, alumni and corporate partners gathered to celebrate philanthropy and learn about the impact of their giving. The program was highlighted by remarks from Lori Houston OTA ’17, recipient of a scholarship made possible by the generosity of Patricia Lynch Shapiro, Class of 1966. Also featured was Professor Anne Jung, co-chair of the inaugural faculty-staff giving campaign, who announced the establishment of the Maria Cares Emergency Fund for students in need. Seventy-eight percent of faculty and staff participated in the campaign.
