ALBANY, NY—On October 22, the New York Board of Regents voted to amend the Maria College charter to add the authority to confer the Bachelor of Science degree. “Becoming a four-year college has been our intent since the time of our first president, Reverend Mother Mary Borromeo, so we are pleased with the decision by the Board of Regents. I view this as a gigantic leap forward for the institution and the beginning of a new era for Maria College,” said President Lea Johnson.
