As a single parent, Sarah Nelson ’18, juggled a relocation to return to school which meant finding a place where her children would thrive and she could balance the challenges of working and parenting. Her goal was to achieve an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree and therefore it was important to have a supportive academic environment. Maria didn’t let her down, she describes, as instructors made her feel comfortable and offered a supportive learning experience where she could succeed.
