Teresian House is committed to fostering the next generation of healthcare leaders by providing financial assistance and professional development opportunities. As part of our commitment to social responsibility and advancing excellence in long-term care leadership, we are proud to announce the Teresian House Emerging Leaders in Healthcare Scholarship Program.
This initiative aims to support final-year students, who are enrolled in healthcare administration, aging services, or related programs and Nursing Home Administrators-InTraining (AITs) an opportunity to engage with industry professionals, gain critical insights, and enhance their leadership journey.
Scholarship Benefits
The selected recipient will receive:
- One-year student membership in the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA).
- Full sponsorship ($1250) to attend the ACHCA New York Chapter Annual Convention, including:
- Registration fees
- Hotel accommodation
- Transportation costs
- A stipend for additional expenses
- Exclusive networking opportunities with senior executives, board members, and ACHCA Fellows.
- Recognition as a rising leader in long-term care administration.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in their final year of a healthcare administration, aging services, or related program at an accredited institution (e.g., Maria College, Siena College, etc.).
- Have a demonstrated interest in long-term care leadership and a commitment to making a positive impact in the field.
- Be available to attend the ACHCA NY Chapter Annual Convention in March 2026
- Provide a faculty reference and maintain a strong academic record.
Application Process
To apply, submit a letter of intent including:
- Your full name, address, and contact information.
- Your university and program details, along with a faculty reference.
- A brief statement (maximum 500 words) explaining:
- Your passion for long-term care leadership.
- How this scholarship will impact your career aspirations.
- What you hope to gain from the ACHCA NY Chapter Annual Convention.
Selection and Review Process
A Teresian House Scholarship Committee will review applications and select one outstanding candidate annually.
Applications must be submitted by 12/31/2025 and early submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
