“I graduated from Maria College in 1976 with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. I received a Bachelor’s degree in English from Siena College, and a Master’s degree in Library Science from UAlbany. I have been a librarian in public libraries in the Capital Region for over 30 years. I also served as a part-time reference librarian at Maria College from 2007 to 2017. I worked with the college’s archives, cataloged materials, and was able to get the library’s NY Heritage digital collection started. It was wonderful to work with students and instructors. I had the pleasure of working with Sister Rose Hobbs, retired Library Director, and Sister Ellen Boyle, retired Professor and Evening and Weekend Dean. Sister Ellen was my psychology professor! I so miss the Maria community–what a unique experience, as both student and librarian. I believe in Maria’s slogan, “Start here, go anywhere!” It’s very true.” – Elizabeth R. Bouchard ’76
