We know that the closure news has made life stressful and uncertain for many of The College of St. Rose students. To help alleviate uncertainty, Maria College has scheduled a series of Instant Admit Days just for The College of St. Rose students this month!

December 12, 13, and 14 from 10AM – 7PM

An affordable education awaits you at Maria

Over 65 years, Maria College has earned its reputation for providing an excellent education at a good price. Our graduates leave school ready to work in well-paid, in-demand fields without the burden of a huge debt. The College of St. Rose students will find that the cost to complete an undergraduate degree with Maria College is substantially lower than they are currently paying. Full-time undergraduate tuition at Maria College is $8,840/semester, compared to $18,061/semester at The College of St. Rose.

Maria College students are eligible for housing at UH College Suites, located 1.4 miles from the Maria campus along a public transportation corridor, and only about 1.2 miles away from The College of St. Rose campus neighborhood that you currently call home!

Nursing

We offer one of the region’s most respected nursing programs, offering training at the certificate, associate’s degree, and bachelor’s degree levels in our state-of-the-art nursing school. We’re home to the only Virtual Reality Nursing Hub in the country, offering essential, immersive experiences in a wide array of clinical scenarios to supplement your training.

Occupational Therapy

Maria offers several Occupational Therapy program pathways to consider, including an associate’s degree and bachelor’s degree (as well as a master’s degree option), depending on the credential you seek.

Healthcare Management

St. Rose Business Administration students may be interested in exploring Maria’s Healthcare Management bachelor’s degree. This program prepares graduates for mid-level management positions in hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, corporate health and wellness departments, and more.

Psychology

Our Psychology program leads to a bachelor’s degree with a specific focus on health and wellness. The option to include Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) Training provides an opportunity to create additional, high-demand expertise and immediate employment opportunities.

Saint Rose students currently pursuing their Master of Science in Occupational Therapy may find a new home in our Maria College MSOT program.

      • Occupational Therapy MS (MSOT)

The Maria College MSOT program is a 70-credit, full-time program that is completed on weekends over two years. It’s one of only two-weekend programs in the country!

With 11,405 alumni, 90% of our Maria College students started working in their field or pursuing a higher degree 6 months after graduation.

  • How do I learn more about transferring?

    Come to one of our Instant Admit Days designed especially for The College of St. Rose students on December 12, 13, and 14th from 10AM – 6PM.

  • Can I live on campus?

    Maria has no on-campus housing but has secured housing in University Heights Suites for The College of St. Rose students who want to pursue that option. We also have extensive neighborhood rental options and relationships with brokers that prioritize incoming Maria students.

  • What type of Financial Aid is available?

    Please review the comprehensive financial aid options here and get a greater understanding of the variety of financial aid solutions we have for students.

  • Do I need a certain GPA to transfer?

    Students must be in good academic standing at the end of the 2023-24 academic year to transition to an equivalent program at Maria College.  As part of the Teach-Out Agreement, you will complete the remaining requirements of your College of St. Rose degree at Maria College.

  • How quickly are admission decisions made?

    Admissions decisions are typically rendered within a week of receiving your application. In certain situations, students wishing to enroll in the Maria College nursing program may experience longer admission decision times.

  • What Is a Teach-Out Agreement?

    When an institution of higher education has decided to cease operations, it is required to provide its accrediting body, such as the Middle States Commission on Higher Education that accredited The College of St. Rose, with a plan for how it will aid students in completing their degrees. These plans include agreements with other colleges and universities called “teach-out agreements.”

    All colleges participating in teach-out agreements are dedicated to assisting St. Rose students to continue their studies in a seamless manner.
