Ya D Na traveled from a refugee camp in Thailand to Albany at the age of 13. She tells us about her journey, and the things she remembers and cherishes from her time there. Ya D Na shares about the challenges she faces, the language barriers and how difficult the transition was to a new culture. She talks about the positive experience she has had at Maria College and how the community is like a family to her. Ya D Na plans to eventually return to Thailand, after graduating from Maria, to help out in the refugee camps.
