A nonprofit, independent, coeducational Albany college Maria College was founded and is sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy. With day, evening, weekend and online classes, Maria offers an RN-BS Degree in Nursing, as well as Associate Degrees (Accounting, Early Childhood Education, Education Transfer Program, Paralegal, Management, Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Liberal Arts, General Studies) and Certificate Programs (Bereavement Studies, Gerontology, Paralegal, Practical Nurse, Teaching Assistant).
