ALBANY, NY—Maria College has been ranked among the 50 best value colleges and universities in New York by Best Value Schools. Maria College was ranked 40th.
For this ranking, the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database and the Pay Scale College Return on Investment (ROI) Report were used to determine the top 50 best value schools. The following factors were considered: Graduation Rate, Net Price, Acceptance Rate, and 20-Year Net ROI.
Located in the capitol city of New York, Maria College of Albany is a Catholic college founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy. Maria College enrolls an estimated 1,000 traditional and non-traditional students, over the course of a year, with day, evening, weekend, and online class options. A student/faculty ratio of 14-to-1, highly contemporary, career-oriented programs, and a robust first year experience program make Maria a unique choice for students.

Degree emphasis at Maria has been in the health sciences—nursing and occupational therapy assistant—placing graduates in many health care facilities in the region. Additionally, Maria has announced four new bachelor majors in the last two years—psychology, health and occupational sciences, health care management and liberal arts.
