Maria College receives $140K grant for accessibility and counseling services

Maria College has been named a 2021-22 Catholic School Liturgy Awardee by the Catholic School Office and the Albany Diocesan School Board. The “Albany Diocesan School Board Community Partner Award” was bestowed upon Maria College for its “College in High School Experience” program with Bishop Maginn High School and Catholic Central High School.

Maria College has officially launched the search for its next president following the retirement announcement of current President Thomas J. Gamble, Ph.D., whose tenure at the College spanned six years. The College is working with national search firm, Academic Search, to find its next leader.
Maria College receives top rankings in healthcare education during time of highest need
On January 5, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul announced during her first-ever State of the State address that New York would provide $10 billion to support the healthcare industry, including $4 billion to support wages and bonuses for workers in a health care sector. This news comes at a time when Maria College, long-known for its excellence in healthcare and nursing education in the Capital Region and beyond, has been ranked amongst the top schools by multiple national third-party sources.
