Maria College Health and Occupational Sciences student, Jodie O’Connell-Ponkos, was recently featured on News 10 for her work with equine therapy after discovering the healing power of horses when she experienced a traumatic injury resulting in the loss of her arm.
Maria College launches online RN-BS Degree in Nursing Completion program
A leading provider of nursing education, Maria College is meeting the community’s need for qualified nurses by adding an option for students to enroll in its highly regarded Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Completion program in a fully online format. Enrollment is now open for the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 semesters in the 12-month, full-time, online BSN Completion program.

Maria College Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) receives full accreditation
Maria College recently received full accreditation status of its Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). The College may now officially award the Master of Science degree and graduating students can sit for the national certification examination administered by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, students will hold the title: Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) and can then apply for licensure in the United States.
Center for Disability Services presents major gift to Maria College
On Tuesday, May 31, the Center for Disability Services presented Maria College with a check for $50,000 to endow a scholarship to be named after the late Eunice Antonucci. The scholarship will be used to support healthcare education at the College.
