Diane Ream — On May 6, 2017, I graduated From Regis University in Denver, Colorado with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Advanced Leadership in Health Care Specialization. I am an Assistant Professor at Denver School of Nursing, teaching nursing leadership and management courses as well as medical surgical nursing courses. My name while I attended Maria College was Norma Diane Ream, but I legally changed my name to Diane Ream in 2009.

Renee Eleby Mejias — works part time as a director of clinical services in Florida. She comes to Albany every year and visits Maria “where dreams come true.”

Stephanie Hisgen — I graduated in May 2017 from Duke University School of Nursing with a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing and Healthcare Leadership. In June 2017, I was appointed as the Director of Clinical Services at the Visiting Nurse Service of Northeastern NY and then promoted to Senior Director in September 2017.

Mark Wahl — Celebrating my 5th work anniversary at Excelsior College as a full-time Faculty Program Director. I owe Maria College a lot, as this is where I started my second career as a nurse after retiring from the U.S. Navy.

Ellen G. Smith Stanzione — attended Utica College on weekends and attained her occupational therapist registered (OTR) credential in 2000. She and her husband live on the Zuni Reservation in western New Mexico, where they work with Native American students. Ellen says, “Having the opportunity to observe cultural events and engage with the Zuni people is really a highlight of living in this beautiful area.”

Louis VanZutphen, RN — retired from a nurse manager position and now works per diem at Capital District Psychiatric Center in Albany.
