Maria Magazine

Welcome to the inaugural edition of Kaleidoscope, the official magazine of Maria College. Kaleidoscope celebrates the transformative spirit of Maria College and is a place where we can share stories about the past, present, and future of a place that plays such a vital part in our lives.

Here at Maria, we’re committed to living and honoring the Sisters of Mercy through practical experiences, on campus and off. Working to fulfill their mission and objectives, together. Which means enabling and encouraging our alumni, employees, friends, and neighbors to stand against injustices; practice compassionate care; and treat every person with dignity, while simultaneously exploring transformative opportunities for the College itself to thrive.

And that is the vision and intention of this magazine. To raise the volume on our communal efforts by creating a printed record in which to share, recognize, and celebrate our joyful actions. A place where we can demonstrate our unity around intentional diversities — in perspectives, audience, innovation, and purpose. Hence, the name Kaleidoscope. How we can begin acknowledging the harmony we share across broad genres, topics, fields of study, and generations. And hopefully, how we can continue to inspire and motivate each other as we move forward — continuing to face greater challenges by celebrating our achievements, of every size. A magazine designed to make thoughtful connections among thought leaders and innovators; plans and projects; leaders and employers.

We believe Kaleidoscope will be instrumental in deepening your connection to Maria College and will become an indispensable place where we commemorate achievements, recognize milestones, and share anecdotes and memories that unite all of us as Monarchs. We hope that the transformations and successes highlighted in these pages will inspire you to get in touch to share your personal and professional news and reconnect with the Maria community at one of the upcoming alumni events.
