Director of Communications and Marketing

Maria College seeks a seasoned higher education professional to serve as Director of Communications and Marketing. The Director of Communications and Marketing is a key member of the President’s Cabinet, and works closely with college leadership to develop and implement a strategic marketing communications plan that addresses the needs of numerous stakeholder groups. This plan will encompass a marketing, communications and public relations program with proposed timelines, costs and measurements that will enhance the image of Maria College within the Capital Region. As addressed within the marketing communications plan, the Director is responsible for five key areas: 1) the editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all college publications and marketing collateral, 2) the production of all electronic media and their placement, 3) management of the college website, 4) the coordination of major college events, and 5) the identification of public relations opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or public relations required; master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years of experience in a college or university communications office required. The successful candidate will have experience in the integrated use of communication media (broadcast, Web, direct mail, e-mail, advertising, social media, etc.) for building relationships and motivating target audiences. Candidates should include a writing sample with their cover letter. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, including a desire and ability to work as part of a team. Assistant Registrar: Part-time

Computer Instructor for Computer Technology Concepts and Applied Skills

The position is for an instructor for two sections of CSC111 – Computer Technology Concepts and Applied Skills.  Section I begins May 21, 2013, and section II begins May 23, 2013.  Each course runs twelve weeks and is held off-site in Saratoga. Experience teaching computer skills and using Blackboard are required. Paralegal Instructor for Real Property Law

 Maria College Nursing Program is seeking fulltime nursing faculty whose responsibility is to work with nursing students to help them become more efficient and effective learners. Duties include coaching, guided study sessions, tutoring and conducting academic enrichment programs. Qualifications: a current NYS RN license, previous teaching experience and MSN are required. Experience in academic enrichment programs is preferred.
