First Year Students

College is a great time in a person’s life. But we know that there are also times when adjusting to college life can be complex, difficult and easier said than done. We are at your service! We want to help you find ways to connect with our community, have academic success, and make the most of your time with us. Our students experience the difference of an education that is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about giving of oneself. We are committed not only to teaching you to be of service, but to serving you as well.

You don’t have to be a high school student to apply to Maria College. We know that starting college after you have been out of school for 4 years or 30 years can be a daunting task. We understand that each student has different needs, expectations and worries and want to do everything we can to make the application process as easy as possible for you.

  • HOW TO APPLY — HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

    Required Documents for General Admission:

    • Completed Application
    • High School Transcript

    Encouraged but not required:

    • ACT or SAT score report
    • Letter of Recommendation
    • An essay or personal statement

    Additionally:

    • It is recommended that every applicant have an interview with an Admission Counselor
    • Additional Requirements are needed for the Associate’s DegreeBachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
    • The Associate’s Degrees in Nursing and Occupational Therapy Assistant both require a student to have successfully completed 3 science courses in high school or college with at least one course being Biology and one course being Chemistry with a score of 80% or higher, and 2 college preparation Math courses.  An overall high school GPA of 80% or higher is also required.
